Kulbhushan Paul, MD

After graduating from Government Medical College in Patiala, India, Kulbhushan Paul, MD completed his residency at Prince George Hospital and Medical Center in Cheverly, Maryland.

Dr. Paul has been in private practice since 1994 and is board certified in Internal Medicine. He was chosen by his peers as Top Doctor in 2000. He is married with two children.

Julaiha Ariff, MD

Julaiha Ariff, MD has been with Sunrise Medical Center since 1999. She attended the University of Madras in India which included a clerkship with the University of Illinois College Of Medicine in Peoria, Illinois. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Missouri School of Medicine, Truman Medical Center, and St. Luke’s Hospital.

Her husband is a nephrologist in private practice in Sun City and they keep busy with their three children.

Manoj Makhija, MD

Manoj Makhija, M.D is a board-certified Internal Medicine doctor working with Sunrise Medical Center in its Peoria and Surprise locations.

Dr. Makhija completed his medical training at the St. Luke’s Hospital affiliated with St. Louis University in Missouri. Prior to this training, he was practicing as a full-time Internal Medicine physician in India for 11 years. He brings with him a rich experience in handling varied and numerous complex case scenarios.

Dr. Makhija believes in passionate, personal and sincere medical care for his patients. He honors this belief by providing emotional and psychological support to all his patients. His sincere and personal approach to his patients is tailored according to their medical needs. His commitment to his patients drives him to see the patients within 24 hours. He is available to see walk-in patients in case of urgent medical needs. Currently, he is accepting new patients and accepts most insurance.

Dr. Makhija currently resides in Glendale with his wife and 2 kids. In his free time, he enjoys tennis, swimming and spending time with his family. He is also actively involved in community service and charity, for he strongly believes that charities help support communities and bring them closer together.

Sekar Annamalai, MD

Sekar Annamalai, MD is board certified in internal medicine and geriatrics. He completed his internal medicine internship at the University of Wisconsin. He then went on to complete his internal medicine residency at St. Luke’s Hospital in St. Louis Missouri.

He completed his geriatrics fellowship at St. Louis University. He also worked at Barnes Jewish Hospital, which is part of Washington University in St. Louis.

He has practiced in Arizona since 2004 and joined sunrise medical associates in 2016.
